At the base level, what does budgeting for AFE requirements include?
The sustainment of existing missions and planning for the future changes; typically this is characterized as a reduction of authorized equipment or the addition of a mission or capability
Where is the best starting point for creating a budget?
Reviewing your shop’s budget from the last couple of years.
Generally, what sort of items may be purchased using the CPFH program?
Items related directly to the number of hours an aircraft flies.
What are consumables chargeable to the CPFH program?
Expendable, non-repairable items ordered by maintenance activities authorized to repair aircraft.

What is a BOI (Basis of Issue)?
How many items are issued based upon the given mission or requirement?

TORC and TINQ screen data.
What is TORC?
An organization’s configuration AFEMS screen that allows users to view and update organization configuration data, which is used in the automated computation of BOIs.

What is the AFEMS TINQ screen?
An allowance standard inquiry screen and is first of a series of screens that leads to display of BOI information
What information is shown on the CA/CRL?
All authorizations, assets, and due-outs for each custodian by organization code and shop code.
On a CA/CRL, in what sequence are items listed?
Authorized, preferred stock number sequence.
If an item is substituted on the CA/CRL and is not a good substitute, who must the custodian notify?
The local EAO and/or regionalized EAO.
To what does the phrase “out of balance” refer?
Each group of records that has an imbalanced condition

The custodian must maintain proof of action.
