Q

What actions are taken if fire is in seal oil system?

A

1) Isolate H2 from generator (H2-132/109/110 or H2-131 or at gas house)
2) If isophase bus deck accessible then purge H2 with C02
3) Isolate TGLO from H2 seal oil system
4) Secure Seal oil pumps when H2 is vented

Q

What actions are taken for a fire associated with the turbine oil system?

A

1) Ensure H2 isolated from generator, purge generator, and isolate TGLO from seal oil system and secure seal oil system
2) Open turning gear breaker
3) Secure main LO system by securing all lube oil pumps

7
Q

What steps are taken for load rejection?

A

1) Open pzr spray to control RCS pressure
2) Reduce power within capacity of turbine load
3) Maintain secondary system heat sink by performing 1102.016 (Power reduction and plant shutdown 25% to 2% power pre turbine s/d)
4) Adjust turbine speed to 60 HZ
5) Proceed to cold shutdown (1102.016) or return unit to power (1102.002)

Q

What are major actions for moderator dilution with reactor critical?

A

1) Close PZR control valve, reduce letdown and terminate any liquid addition to MU&P
2) Lower power if CRD in manual
3) Determine rods are within limits of COLR, verify SD Margin
4) Borate as needed

Q

What actions are taken for HPI flow if flow is high during ESAS?

A

1) Throttle HPI < 525 gpm for emergency ops
2) If only one HPI train available and RCS pressure > 600 psig, throttle HPI block with highest flow to within 20 gpm of next highest
3) If 2 HPI trains in service and total flow > 450 gpm then throttle HPI flow to < 500 gpm.

Q

What are alarm limits for LPI Flow and what actions are taken?

A
  • LPI Flow Hi/LO received when LPI flow > 3750 gpm
  • LPI Flow Lo when < 2800 gpm or breaker open 35 seconds after ES signal

If flow is high with ES signal, manually throttle LPI flow < 3750 gpm
