Q

You put your arm to the fire what happens ?

A

Stimuli triggers the sensory receptors on your hand and an electrical impulse travels to the CNS, the brain allows you to feel the sensation of heat on your hand and signals your muscles to move your hand

Q

What is conductive hearing loss?

A

When sound waves cannot move through the outer ear, into the middle, into the inner

21
Q

Cause of conductive hearing loss, symptoms, treatment?

A

Causes include blockages in the auditory canal
Symptoms include muffled sound and difficulty communicating
Treatment, remove blockages, antibiotics, hearing aids

22
Q

A

Result of damage to the inner ear

23
Q

Cause of sensorineural hearing loss, symptoms, treatment?

A

Exposure to loud noises, head injury, genetics, aging, disease
Difficulty hearing high pitched sounds and communicating with background noise
Treatment includes hearing age, nothing else

24
