What are the different types of lists?

What are lists with bullet points used for?
They are used to list things needed and are in no particular order.
What are lists with numbers used for?
They are used for to do lists and methods. They are in a particular order.
What do tables require?
A heading where both variables are mentioned
The independent variable must be on the right
Borders around the columns and rows
The columns need headings that contain the units of measurement
Row labels
Content with no units of measurement
Make sure that your headings are underlined
What are the different types of graphs?
Line graphs, bar graphs and pie charts.
What are line graphs used for?
They are used to record continuous information.
What are bar graphs used for?
The are used to record the results of most experiments.
What are pie charts used for?
They are used to show percentages or fractions.
What do graphs require?
They require a heading where both of the variables are mentioned
They require headings for the Y axis and the X axis with the units of measurement
Make sure that your headings are underlined
What are the requirements for biological diagrams?
Must always have a heading
Must be in pencil only – with clean, clear lines
Must be 8 – 10 lines
Must be in the middle of the page
Must be in proportion
Labels are normally on the right hand side unless there are lots of labels

Label lines in pencil, one underneath the other.
What is important to remember when making a list?
