- it can repair injuries or strains to muscles
- it can stay fit and fight off infection

symptoms of a lack of quality sleep include:

- feelings of fatigues
- weight gain
- bad temper
- depression
- tearfulness
- inability to concentrate
- increased likelihood of getting ill

how to improve sleep…
A
- keep your bedroom cool (17*) and quiet
- keep electronics out of your room (light interferes with sleep)
- get off screens >1hr before sleeping
- get enough exercise (30mins)
finish exercising >1hr before sleeping - have a warm (milky) drink to help you settle (or a small healthy snack)
- avoid caffeine after around 2pm (chocolate, coke, energy drinks, coffee)
- set a routine (go to bed around the same time each day)
