What’s panaritium(პანარიციუმი)?

A

Bacterial infection, affects soft tissues around fingers or toes, typically near the nails. Starts: small, painful swelling.
Progress: intense pain, redness, pus accumulation.

What’s pandactylitis(პანდაქტილიტი)?

A

Pandactylitis is severe, often chronic infection, caused by bacteria. Affects all the tissues in a finger or toe: skin, subcutaneous tissue, tendons, joints, sometimes even bones. Symptoms: pain, redness, swelling, warmth, decreased mobility in affected finger/toe.

What’s difference between panaritium and pandactylitis?

A

Panaritium is a localized infection, whereas pandactylitis is more widespread, advanced infection involving multiple layers and structures of the finger/toe. Pandactylitis can occur from progressed panaritium.
