What indications cause the illumination of the check eicas caution
Engine and transmission temperature and pressure not within the normal range

Fms displays status messages related to helicopter health and or FMS navigation performance
STATUS menu on FMS provides ability to review status of all subsystems or line replaceable units (LRUs) that report CBIT or PBIT fault messages
During startup you experience an engine 1 oil bypass
What does this indicate and is this a normal indication?
Cold oil can’t be passed through the filter so it bypasses it until it warms up normal in cold temperatures
During shut down, the droops fail to return to the static position during rotor coast down
What are your actions?
Additionally, how long will the blade droop in feet from the ground
Shut down engine to lower rotor idling NR. In an attempt to seat the droop stops
If still not in accelerate rotor to greater than 75% NR. Repeat rotor shutdown procedures while slightly displacing the cyclic in an attempt to dislodge jammed droop stop
If still not in clear rotor disc area perform normal shutdown with cyclic in the neutral position

You are planning a VFR flight to a class D airport. Predominant weather at your ETA is 1sm visibility and 500 ft ceilings. Assuming no local restrictions, can you legally fly VFR to this airfield?
Normal VFR- no you need three SM visibility and 500 ft below clouds
Special VFR- yes with 1/2 SM visibility clear of clouds
What inputs are made to the DEC that contribute to transient droop compensation? Where are these items located?
Engine torque from torque and overspeed sensor on power turbine module
Rotor speed sensor from left accessory module
Collective rate from the mechanical mixing unit
As an instrument rated pilot flying an instrument certified aircraft, when are you not required to file an IFR flight plan?
Flight is primarily for vfr training
Time will not permit mission completion under IFR
Mission can only be accomplished under VFR
Excessive ATC departure in route or terminal area delays are encountered
Hazardous weather conditions must be avoided
