1. Reducing sugar (glucose powder) was dissolved in a little water and added to Benedict’s solution in a test tube.
2. Benedict’s solution was added to water in a separate test tube as a control.
3. Both tubes were placed in a heating water bath (not boiling) and the changes were observed
