What is the role of the Church in local communities?
The Church aims to provide practical help and spiritual support. They aim to follow Jesus’ teachings to ‘love thy neighbour’ by caring for those in need around you, through justice and compassion.

They believe it is their duty to live out their faith through action, and that showing agape love is a part of the Christian way of life.

Food banks are places where people in crisis can receive free emergency food parcels, or for people who cannot afford to buy food. It helps to tackle hunger and poverty.
What is the Trussell Trust?
A Christian charity that supports over 1,200 food banks in the UK, providing millions of meals each year, aiming to end hunger and poverty while encouraging dignity and hope.

Who are street pastors?
Street pastors are Christian volunteers who go out at night in urban areas to help people who are vulnerable, drunk, lost, or in trouble, offering practical care and a listening ear.

Their work shows Christian love in action by caring for the vulnerable, they also believe that it is important to care for everybody around you, and encourages considering others.
