Sonderweg Theory
Believed Nazism was no accident, but a deadly culmination of nationalism, authoritarianism, and militarism, all of which date back to the middle ages
Functionalism
Hitler was largely reactive and unable to produce new ideas, relying instead on advisers in his inner circle, ultimately the Nazi transformation that occured in Germany was not the work of Hitler but of others.
Intentionalism
Nzism as a product of Hitler’s identity, charisma, determination, and oratorical power. The Nazi party and it ideology were manifestations of Hitler’s own personal beliefs.
