what is the use of affine transforms in medicine
A
quantifying/mapping movement and images of movement can help classify normal movement and abnormalities
- only applied to rigid bodies (eg bones, cannot be applied to softer tissues such as intestines
- imaging errors can be reduced by repeat imaging from different centres, however it is difficult to position the patient the same way twice
