Who Was tiberius gracchus and what did he do?
Tribune 133 BC, redistributed ager publicius from rich to poor - killed by reps. of rich

Tribune 123 BC; distributed land, corn doles, largesse and expansion of citizenship
killed by first SCU

trib in 100 BC; proposed bills to settle marius’ troops

Who was sulpicius?
Trib. in 88 BC; transferred mithridatic cmnd from sulla to marius, settled new citizens from social wars into tribes.

what did sulla do (trib.)?
dictator 82/81 took away legislative powers and blocked progression
Why did lepidus revolt in 78?
One of aims was to restore powers to trib.
What did Aurellius cotta do?
removed ban on progression for tribunes in 74.
one of most conservative politicians - sallust suggests even these wanted tribunes power back

would give crassus upper hand on pomp since pomp needed land to settle troops - cicero gets bill thrown out in pomp.s interests

tribs in 63; attacked verbally cicero when he stepped down and prevented him from speaking on orders of caesar
prompted cato’s opp. to recall of pompey and caused cicero to be granted pater patriae
