Tuberculosis
Definition
A chronic bacterial infection which can affect all organs but target lungs
The bacteria that causes Tuberculosis
Myobacterium tuberculosis
strong immune response to tuberculosis
the infection is contained by a fibrous capsule and bacilli lie dormant

bacilli multiply and within 4-6 weeks the individual has PTB

occurs when patients do not finish full course of medication
