process of noting down important information or questions about the topic, during a class to use it in the future for a test, project, reference or a review.

re-reading a text multiple times to analyze details and the structure to understand the intention and meaning the author is trying to show.
- annotations - it is noting down comments, questions, explanation during close reading to prepare for discussions and writing and helps remember key points and engage during discussion.
what?, when? why? - DISCUSSION
it is exchanging ideas and engaging through discussion after close reading and annotation. it is a way to broaden your perspective and understanding about the text. you need to be prepared with questions or points before, for effective discussion. discussion requires active listening.

it is an appeal to reason. people develop an argument to share, explore and question ideas, convince or persuade people, or to prove a fact. authors develop an argument by establishing a purpose and crafting a thesis, as well as gathering evidence.
what?, when? why? - WRITING PROCESS
writing process is made up from multiple steps. there are numerous things to consider before writing which includes understanding the writing assignment, the lenght of the text, goal of and the audience and outlining. every text should have a structure; introduction, body and conclusion paragraph.
