What does the constitution do
Sets out the line of basic principles upon which the government in the U.S was built

Into Eight sections:
- The Preamble

- Followed by the 27 Amendments
What is Article one about and what does it do
The legislative branch; It creates a bicameral congress and a House of Reps. and a Senate, and it MAKES LAWS

The executive branch; It ENFORCES LAWS; the President runs it; and it includes all federal law enforcement agencies (FBI, CIA, FDA, etc.)

The judicial branch; It INTERPERETS LAWS; headed by the supreme court; it is the national court system
