Humanitarianism
Ideology based on trying to improve other people’s living conditions, such as providing care for those in need or trying to stop human rights violations

Civil Disobedience
Intentional public refusal to obey the law; usually non-violent
Role of Citizenship
The actions expected of or permitted of citizens within a society. For a democratic society, this could include: taking a stance on political issues, expressing concerns, sharing ideas, participating in politics
Ant-War Movements
Movements by the people (usually democratic societies) to stop the involvement in war. Ex: Vietnam war protests in the US
Pro-Democracy Movement
Movement by the people to move toward democracy
Citizenship
Membership by birth or naturalization in a society, community, or country with entails definable rights of participation and protection and certain responsibilities and duties to the society, community, or country
Naturalization
for immigrants, the process of applying for and obtaining citizenship
Local, National, Global issues
Local: issues happening in your town or city
National: issues happening in your country
Global: issues happening worlwide
