Sprain
Over stretching, over use or exertion of soft tissue
Strain
A severe stretch or tear to soft tissue such as a joint capsule, ligament or tendon
Bursitis
Inflammation of a bursa
Tendonitis
Overuse and inflammation of the tendon
Tenosynovitis
Inflammation of joint fluid
Contusion
Bruising from a direct blow resulting in a capillary rupture, bleeding, oedema, and an inflammatory response.

Shortening of structure the joint. Happens to muscles and skin, is an adaptive change
Plantar Fasciitis
Painful inflammation of the heel and bottom surface of foot caused by excessive stretching
Achilles tendonitis
Inflammation of achilles tendon
Compartment syndromes
Elevation of tissue pressure within closed fascial compartment
Trocanteric Bursits
Inflammation of bursa at point of hip known as the greater trochanter
Olecranon Bursits
Inflammation of bursa at the elbow joint between the olecranon process and skin
Myopathy
Any congenital or acquired muscle disease, marked clinically by focal or diffuse muscular weakness
Thoracic Outlet syndrome
caused by the compression of nerves and/or vessels in the neck
De Quervain’s Tenosynovitis
Inflammation of the lining that surrounds the tendons int he thumb
Dupuytren’s contracture
Contracture of palmar fascia usually causing the ring and little fingers to bend into the palm so that they cannot be extended
Complex Regional Pain syndrome
An abnormal response of the nerves of the face or of an extremity, marked by pain, autonomic dysfunction, vasomotor instability, and tissue swelling
Iliotibial Band syndrome
IT band An inflammatory overuse syndrome caused by mechanical friction
Repetitive stress injury
Condition caused when too much stress is paced on a a major joint
