Should receive immunoglobulin and three does series of hepatitis B

DTaP series
Series of 3 (2-4-6 months) & 2 booster ( 15 months & 6 years)
When is T DaP given
11 or 12 years booster to DTaP
TdaP = no diapers ; >7years
Subsequent TD boosters every 10 years
Contraindication for DTaP/TDaP
Encephalopathy within 7 days of receiving the vaccine can never get it again but can get TD because it does not have acellular pertussis
Wound management /DTAP
Clean will never give them immunoglobulin
If vaccine <3 DTaP/TDAP give vaccine at the time of the wound
If received 3 vaccine but >10 years, need booster TD, DTaP or TDaP
If dirty wound &<3 vaccine need tetanus and immunoglobulin
If >5 years but have been vaccinated, no immunoglobulin just tetanus
Polio series
Series of 4(2-4-6 months & 4 years)
Protect against contaminated fecal water poor sanitation
We use the IPV shot, PO used in Third World countries (can give active polio)
Last dose after 4 birthday; 2nd and 3rd must be 6 months apart
MMR series
Series of two @ 1 year and by 12 years
If exposed to measles or traveling to endemic areas MMR can be given as early as___(age) but the patient will need to continue the primary series at an appropriate time
6-months
Then resume schedule 12 to 15 months, 6-12 years
Is MMR safe for HIV or immunocompromised or Ppregnancy?
Safe for HIV patients
Contraindicated in Immunocompromise;pregnancy because you can get rubella. Do you not get pregnant for weeks following vaccination.
MMRV is Contraindicated in what patients?
Patient with a history of febrile seizures
