A

Occlusive atherosclerotic disease in the lower extremities.

What is intermittent claudication

A

Pain / cramping or both of the lower extremity after a specific walking distance, relieved by stopping and standing still. Occurs in a reproducible pattern over a specific distance

What is rest pain?

A

Pain in the foot which arises at rest , classically occurs at night and wakes the patient requiring them to hang their leg off the side of the bed. Pain is usually over the distal metatarsals
