What is virtue ethics?
By Aristotle. Very practical. No set rules. Try to be the best person possible. Can only learn moral virtues through practice. The aim of a human being is to reach eudaemonia.
Golden mean?
a moral virtue is found in what he calls the ‘Golden Mean’: a balance between two behavioural extremes
How do you become virtuous?
Copying others who are already virtuous. Role models.
What is the aim of a human being?
To reach eudaemonia
What is eudaemonia?
The ultimate goal of a human being. Living a good and fulfilling life.
What is a virtue?
A good character trait, like courage or kindness
What is habituation?
The process of developing virtues through practice
