Q

What are the differences between a bacteria and virus cell

A

Viruses
Non living
20-400nm so smaller
Invades host cells to reproduce
No oragnelles

Bacteria
Living cellular organism
Larger 1000nm
Reproduces by asexual fission
Contains organelles

13
Q

Why id HIV a retrovirus

A

because it has an ensyme called a reverse transcriptase which genertaes DNA from HIV’s RNA
the single helix (RNA)
turns into
a double helix (DNA)

14
Q

how does HIV spread in the cells

A

so it will attach to the host cell though a receptor then it will use reverse transcriptase to change from RNA to DNA creating a genome so the virus cells can use the organells (eg ribasomes) to reproduce until it pops and then they can invade other cells and repeat until there are a lot of virus cells taking over the body.
