how we should investigate the world
concerned with the nature of knowledge and the methods of learning.

Methodology:
how we should best collect data
Concerned with the method of data collection
e.g., empiricism, kaupapa Māori, interface research

details of excatly how we collect data
describes how data was collected specifically
