Q

how to increase water supply

A

dams and resovouirs - consistant flow of water all year round as when there is water surplus it is filled and when there is water defecit it can be released as the weather is unpredictable
water transfer - canals and pipes to areas of water defecit from area of surplus - e.g. china

Q

sustainable water supply

A

water conservation - dual flush toilets can save about 3.5 litres of water each flush
buying efficient dishwashers
recyling - can be used in farming
grey water - reused immediatly from peoples homes apart from toilet as this is contaminated - as the water is relatively clean it can be used for farming - conserves energy also as the water is not treated
