What are 4 steps to effective communication?
- Understand DISC styles and how people are similar and different
- Identifying your style

What is DISC?
Dominance: Describes the way you deal with problems, assert yourself and control situations.
Influence: Describes the way you deal with people, the way you communicate and relate to others.
Steadiness: Describes your temperament - patience, persistence, and thoughtfulness
Compliance: Describes how you approach and organize your activity, procedures and responsibilities.
What constitutes sexual harassment?
Unwelcome sexual advances, requests for sexual favors, and other verbal or physical conduct of a sexual nature. The defining characteristic is that it is unwanted.
What are the 3 types of sexual harassment?
- Gender Harassment - toward members of a gender
- Unwanted Sexual Attention - verbal or physical unwanted sexual advances which can include assault
- Sexual Coercion - quid pro quo

E - expect misbehavior and make a plan for protection
R - recognize misconduct and inappropriate behaviors

What are some steps to implementing assertive communication?

- Make eye contact

- What - explain what you are planning to do
- Why - explain why you feel this action is necessary
