Week 11 Flashcards

(11 cards)

1
Q

median nerve

A

C6-T1
near the insertion of corocobrachialis it crosses in front of brachial artery and follows it medially to enter the cubital fossa
in cubital fossa, sits posterior to to bicipital aponeurosis and anterior to brachialis. enters the forearm between 2 heads of pronator teres. major branch is ant. interosseus. appox 5cm proximal to flexor retinaculum it emerges from beneath flexor digitorum superfiscialis and enters wrist beneath flexor retinaculum within carpal tunnel

Q

ulnar nerve

A

C7-T1
from medial cord of brachial plexus. descends distally through axilla medial to axillary artery and continues medial to brachial artery to mid arm
passes anteriorly to the med head of triceps. post. to medial epicondyle and enters forearm.
passes through cubital tunnel formed by humeral and ulnar heads of flexor carpi ulnaris. descends on medial side of forearm
