Q

GST

A

goods and services tax: means by content the same thing like VAT –> they wanted to interduce it within 3 months (3 different calculations but it turned out that there are 7 calculations) –> it is functioning (weil die Unternehmen ebenfalls durch die Abgaben verdienen).
Indirect tax is easier to collect –> you pay when you buy something

VAT

A

VAT (value added taxes) does not function becaue every canton wanted to do the taxes in their own way (own calculaiton, own regulations) –> so the central government does not wanted to interduce it).

2 things we need to know about culture:

A

these two things are interconnected.

    • absolut harmony between anyone and with anyone
    • they are told not to say no, so if you ask them, they say yes but that does not mean yes at all
    • -> saying no is no-go
    • sehr wichtig: religion; India’s Hinduism is not reformed –> it has still the old mentality that still exists
      christianity: came into India, christian and also muslim realisted, if they want to stay in India they have to indianalize their religon.
    • you can only survive, if you go with the caste system
    • you have to believe in reincanation: Brahma is the creater god and he said the person is not completed so completing work is not on the top of your list. (your soul will be in Nirvana –> it is like heaven for christians)
