Q

What is the positives and negatives of the circle of Willis?

A

-protects the brain via collateral circulation( other arteries can compensate for this and still ensure appropriate profusion for the brain)
-arteries that come off the circle of Willis e.g. ACA,MCA and PCA so these are not protected by collateral system
