A

A person is disabled entirely by their condition or impairment
Medical treatment or a cure is required to remove disability

The NDIS is a no-fault national disability insurance scheme
It aims to support the independence and social and economic participation of people with disability
o Plan is for 460,000 Australians to receive support

A

Planning for the future. If a person is unwell, advanced care planning ensures that a person can communicate and convey that persons wishes for health on there behalf.

  • The medical treatment planning and decision bill in 2016 allows for health practitioners to make decisions for those without decision making capacity while respecting their preferences and values.
