What is physical geography
The study of general nature
What is human geography
The study of people and where they live
What is environmental geography
The study of how nature can impact people
What are the continents
Africa, South America, North America, Asia, Oceania, Europe and Antarctica
What are the oceans
The arctic, Atlantic, Indian, pacific, southern
What are longitude lines
They are vertical lines across the earth
What are latitude lines
They are horizontal (flat) lines along the earth
How do you do six grid references
You go along the line but in between the boxes you need to be precise and so you add another number. Then you go up and do the same and be precise
How do you do four grid references
You need to find which box the symbol is in with along then up but do the numbers as the point at the bottom left of the box
What is the relief of the land and how do you know on a map
It is the height of the land and it is most commonly seen as contour lines on maps. Contour lines is how much the number says it is on the line in metres
What is the order of the points in the captain America game
- north pole (head)
- arctic circle (ears)
- tropic of capricorn (shoulder)
- eqautor (waste)
- topic of capricorn (knee CAP)
- antarctic circle (ankle)
- south pole
