A
Short term treatment of insomnia

Dose Range
A
10 mg
6.25, 12.5 mg CR
1 tablet immediately before bedtime.

Counselling/SE
A
- immediately before bedtime.
- Avoid alcohol and other medications that may cause drowsiness while taking this drug.
- Drowsiness and increase effect of alcohol
- Short term use only –> may lead to dependence, tolerance and withdrawal.
SE:
- diarrhoea
- hallucinations
- amnesia
- sleep disorders (sleep walking, eating etc)
