10. Project structure Flashcards
(3 cards)
Explain what a work breakdown structure (WBS) is.
It is a hierarchy of project, subprojects, tasks, subtasks and work packages.
Explain different ways of organizing work breakdown structures.
Object-oriented WBS:
- with regard to the product (object) and its components
Activity-oriented WBS:
- with regard to activities to be performed in the project
Combined WBS
- mix of object- and activity-based-oriented approaches
How detailed should the work breakdown structure be?
“As much as necessary - not as much as possible!”
