What is time scheduling?
It is to set when which activity ist to be carried out.
Key to detailed plannng and monitoring of time, cost and quality
What are prerequisites for time scheduling?
- phase model
- project structures (WBS, work packages)
- effort estimation
- in a first step, resources may not be taken into account
Explain the terms free float and total float.
Free float:
The amount of time that an activity can be delayed without delaying the early start date of any successive activity.
Total float:
The amount of time that an activity can be delayed from its early start date without delaying the project finish date.
Explain what the critical path is?
The critical path is the longest sequence of activities towards logical end points or the end of the project -> must be completed in order to finish in time.
