سورة المرسلات : Those/That which is sent forth

Question 1

وَالْمُرْسَلَاتِ عُرْفًا ‎﴿١﴾‏

Answer 1

I swear by those winds that are sent one after the other.

Question 2

فَالْعَاصِفَاتِ عَصْفًا ‎﴿٢﴾

Answer 2

And by those that blow violently.

Question 3

وَالنَّاشِرَاتِ نَشْرًا ‎﴿٣﴾

Answer 3

And by those that spread (clouds) all over.

Question 4

فَالْفَارِقَاتِ فَرْقًا ‎﴿٤﴾

Answer 4

And by those (angels) who differentiate (between right and wrong) distinctly.

Question 5

فَالْمُلْقِيَاتِ ذِكْرًا ‎﴿٥﴾

Answer 5

Then bring down the advice.

Question 6

عُذْرًا أَوْ نُذْرًا ‎﴿٦﴾

Answer 6

Leaving no excuse or giving warnings (for the disbelievers).

Question 7

إِنَّمَا تُوعَدُونَ لَوَاقِعٌ ‎﴿٧﴾

Answer 7

That which you are promised is sure to happen.

Question 8

فَإِذَا النُّجُومُ طُمِسَتْ ‎﴿٨﴾

Answer 8

So when the stars will be extinguished.

Question 9

وَإِذَا السَّمَاءُ فُرِجَتْ ‎﴿٩﴾

Answer 9

And when the sky will split.

Question 10

وَإِذَا الْجِبَالُ نُسِفَتْ ‎﴿١٠﴾

Answer 10

And when the mountains will be blown away as dust.

Question 11

وَإِذَا الرُّسُلُ أُقِّتَتْ ‎﴿١١﴾

Answer 11

And when the messengers will be assembled at the appointed time (then all matters will be decided).

Question 12

لِأَيِّ يَوْمٍ أُجِّلَتْ ‎﴿١٢﴾

Answer 12

(Do you know) for which Day has all this been delayed.?

Question 13

لِيَوْمِ الْفَصْلِ ‎﴿١٣﴾

Answer 13

For The Day of Decision.

Question 14

وَمَا أَدْرَاكَ مَا يَوْمُ الْفَصْلِ ‎﴿١٤﴾

Answer 14

And what may let you know what The Day of Decision is?

Question 15

وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ ‎﴿١٥﴾

Answer 15

Woe that day to the deniers.

Question 16

أَلَمْ نُهْلِكِ الْأَوَّلِينَ ‎﴿١٦﴾‏

Answer 16

Did We not destroy the earlier people?

Question 17

ثُمَّ نُتْبِعُهُمُ الْآخِرِينَ ‎﴿١٧﴾‏

Answer 17

Then We will cause the later ones to follow them.

Question 18

كَذَٰلِكَ نَفْعَلُ بِالْمُجْرِمِينَ ‎﴿١٨﴾

Answer 18

Thus, We deal with the guilty people.

Question 19

وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ ‎﴿١٩﴾‏

Answer 19

Woe That Day to the deniers.

Question 20

أَلَمْ نَخْلُقكُّم مِّن مَّاءٍ مَّهِينٍ ‎﴿٢٠﴾

Answer 20

Did We not create you from a worthless fluid?

Question 21

فَجَعَلْنَاهُ فِي قَرَارٍ مَّكِينٍ ‎﴿٢١﴾‏

Answer 21

Then We put it in a firm place of rest.

Question 22

إِلَىٰ قَدَرٍ مَّعْلُومٍ ‎﴿٢٢﴾

Answer 22

For a known period.

Question 23

فَقَدَرْنَا فَنِعْمَ الْقَادِرُونَ ‎﴿٢٣﴾

Answer 23

Thus We did (all this with perfect) measure. So We are the best to measure.

Question 24

وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ ‎﴿٢٤﴾

Answer 24

Woe That Day to the deniers.

Question 25

أَلَمْ نَجْعَلِ الْأَرْضَ كِفَاتًا ‎﴿٢٥﴾

Answer 25

Did We not make the earth a container that collects?

Question 26

أَحْيَاءً وَأَمْوَاتًا ‎﴿٢٦﴾

Answer 26

The living and the dead.

Question 27

وَجَعَلْنَا فِيهَا رَوَاسِيَ شَامِخَاتٍ وَأَسْقَيْنَاكُم مَّاءً فُرَاتًا ‎﴿٢٧﴾‏

Answer 27

And We placed towering mountains therein and provided you with sweet water to drink.

Question 28

وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ ‎﴿٢٨﴾

Answer 28

Woe That Day to the deniers.

Question 29

انطَلِقُوا إِلَىٰ مَا كُنتُم بِهِ تُكَذِّبُونَ ‎﴿٢٩﴾‏

Answer 29

(It will be said to them on That Day) push onto what you used to deny.

Question 30

انطَلِقُوا إِلَىٰ ظِلٍّ ذِي ثَلَاثِ شُعَبٍ ‎﴿٣٠﴾

Answer 30

Push onto a canopy (of Hell’s smoke) having 3 branches.

Question 31

لَّا ظَلِيلٍ وَلَا يُغْنِي مِنَ اللَّهَبِ ‎﴿٣١﴾

Answer 31

That neither has a comfortable shade, nore is it of any use against the scorching heat.

Question 32

إِنَّهَا تَرْمِي بِشَرَرٍ كَالْقَصْرِ ‎﴿٣٢﴾

Answer 32

It emits sparks (as huge) as castles.

Question 33

كَأَنَّهُ جِمَالَتٌ صُفْرٌ ‎﴿٣٣﴾

Answer 33

As if they were yellowish camels.

Question 34

وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ ‎﴿٣٤﴾‏

Answer 34

Woe That Day to the deniers.

Question 35

هَٰذَا يَوْمُ لَا يَنطِقُونَ ‎﴿٣٥﴾

Answer 35

This is The Day when they will not speak.

Question 36

وَلَا يُؤْذَنُ لَهُمْ فَيَعْتَذِرُونَ ‎﴿٣٦﴾

Answer 36

Nor will they be allowed to offer excuses.

Question 37

وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ ‎﴿٣٧﴾

Answer 37

Woe That Day to the deniers.

Question 38

هَٰذَا يَوْمُ الْفَصْلِ ۖ جَمَعْنَاكُمْ وَالْأَوَّلِينَ ‎﴿٣٨﴾‏

Answer 38

(It will be said to them) this is The Day of Decision. We have assembled you and the earlier ones together.

Question 39

فَإِن كَانَ لَكُمْ كَيْدٌ فَكِيدُونِ ‎﴿٣٩﴾

Answer 39

Now if you have a trick, use the trick against Me.

Question 40

وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ ‎﴿٤٠﴾

Answer 40

Woe That Day to the deniers.

Question 41

إِنَّ الْمُتَّقِينَ فِي ظِلَالٍ وَعُيُونٍ ‎﴿٤١﴾‏

Answer 41

Of course, the God-fearing will be amidst shades and streams.

Question 42

وَفَوَاكِهَ مِمَّا يَشْتَهُونَ ‎﴿٤٢﴾

Answer 42

And fruits of their desire.

Question 43

كُلُوا وَاشْرَبُوا هَنِيئًا بِمَا كُنتُمْ تَعْمَلُونَ ‎﴿٤٣﴾‏

Answer 43

(It will be said to them) eat and drink with pleasure because of what you used to do.

Question 44

إِنَّا كَذَٰلِكَ نَجْزِي الْمُحْسِنِينَ ‎﴿٤٤﴾‏

Answer 44

This is how We reward those who do good deeds.

Question 45

وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ ‎﴿٤٥﴾‏

Answer 45

Woe That Day to the deniers.

Question 46

كُلُوا وَتَمَتَّعُوا قَلِيلًا إِنَّكُم مُّجْرِمُونَ ‎﴿٤٦﴾‏

Answer 46

(Oh disbelievers) eat and drink for a while. You are guilty ones.

Question 47

وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ ‎﴿٤٧﴾

Answer 47

Woe That Day to the deniers.

Question 48

وَإِذَا قِيلَ لَهُمُ ارْكَعُوا لَا يَرْكَعُونَ ‎﴿٤٨﴾‏

Answer 48

And when it is said to them: ‘Bow down (submit to Allah (s.w.t)’s command) they do not bow down.

Question 49

وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ ‎﴿٤٩﴾

Answer 49

Woe That Day to the deniers.

Question 50

فَبِأَيِّ حَدِيثٍ بَعْدَهُ يُؤْمِنُونَ ‎﴿٥٠﴾‏

Answer 50

Now in which discourse after this will they believe.
