Q

Tell me about a time when you were trying to understand a complex problem on your team and you had to dig into the details to figure it out. Who did
you talk with or where did you have to look to find the most valuable information? How did you use that information to help solve the problem?

A

I analyze data daily to see how my hospitals are operating; if activity is dropping or picking up. For example, I noticed that one hospital’s claims activity in the software had dropped 20% from last month; they went from 80% to 60%. The same amount of claims were being submitted but clients were submitting these claims more frequently rather than the hospital submitting them through the software. My next plan of action was to call the hospital to find out why the claims were being processed less frequently through the software. After some digging, I found out that one of the tenured receptionists had left the practice but a replacement had been hired. Therefore, I was able to train the new receptionist and help increase the activity in the software to 85%.
