Parkinsons is a type of DLB -spetrcum of disease (PD is lowest)
in PD, lewy bodies are in brainstem
in LBD- brainstem, cingulate gyrus and neocortex

RF- only age

Sx of dementia with lewy body

need more than 2/3 of-
fluctutating confusion with marked variation in alterness levels (has lucid intervals=unlike other dementias)
vivid visual hallucinations (animals/human/faces-lilliputian hallucinations)
Parkinsonims– shuffling gait, bradykinesia, rigidity, amimia, amnosia ((early PD sign)

frequent falls,
depression very common with

PD -parkinson-> dementia
DLB-> dementia -> parkinsonisms

biological - 1st line Ach inhibitors (donepezil, rivastigmine)
DO NOT OFFER ANTIPSYCHOTICS
