18
Q

Explain the responsibilities of the CDQAR

A

Supplement QA when needed to perform QAR level inspections while being assigned to the production work centers.

19
Q

Explain the responsibilities of the CDI

A

Inspect all work and comply with the required QA inspections during all maintenance actions performed by their production work center.

20
Q

Discuss the elements of a successful FOD Program

A
  • Strict accounting for tools and equipment used in maintenance, thorough post maintenance cleaning.
  • Inspection of work performed and work areas.
  • Pre-Op inspections of engine inlets and flight control areas, and conduct periodic FOD walkdowns.
21
Q

State the primary objective of the Tool Control Program

A

Establishes minimum requirements for controlling tools used by Navy O-Level and I-Level performing maintenance on naval aviation aircraft, engines, components, and equipment.

22
Q

Explain the procedures for a Missing Tool Report

A

Worker
1. Stop all work and immediately notify supervisor (Worker)
Supervisor
2. Immediately notify MX control, include what was being worked on, what jet, and what tool (Supervisor)
3. Conduct a thorough search of work area (Supervisor)
Maintenance Control
4. Verbally notify MO or AMO, and QA that a tool is missing (MX Control)
5. Quarantine Aircraft and initiate a downing MAF for Aircraft (MX Control)
6. Fill in Missing Tool report (MX Control)
Quality Assurance
7. Immediately assign QAR to investigate missing tool (QA)
8. Wether tool is found or not, QAR will fill in report and sign off MAF with “Missing tool investigation completed. Tool found/Not Found.” (QA)
9. If tool is NOT found, QAR will take report to MO for further reccomendations (QA)
Maintenance Officer
10. MO will release Aircraft safe-for-flight if they believe it does not pose a FOD hazard (MO)
11. MO will brief CO on report (MO)

23
Q

Discuss the Fuel Surveillance Program

A

Established minimum requirements for sampling fuel and inspecting FOD in fuel cells.
