Ego Goal orientation: Norm-referenced. Comparing to others. Define success by being better than others.

Perceived Motivational climate: athletes perception of achievement goals promoted by others

Mastery-based climate: An emphasis on mastery learning, effort, individual improvement, and cooperation tend to evoke a task involvement.

Performance-based climate: comparison to others. Evoke ego involvement.
