A

In August 1970 Brandt’s talks to USSR for Non-aggression pact
December 1970: West Gr sign treaty with Poland recognising post war border
May 1971: Ulbritcht replaced by Honecker giving better chance for unification
December 1972: East and West sign treaty recognising each other in Basic treaty
June 1973: Treaty came into effect
1974: Started diplomatic relations Eastern Gr with West Gr and USA later in the year
