What are the command/strategic level responsibilities for accountability?
• tracking overall accountability on a tactical worksheet
• Know who is in charge of each sector, the location and function of each sector

Tactical level accountability responsibilities

To the closest engine to their point of entry

Immediately notify original sector/group supervisor and or accountability officer of their changed status

What occurs if a BC/fit is assigned to manage a sector/division/group regarding accountability?
The BC/FIT would collect the passports from the initial engine accountability locations. A company ID tag from the back of the passport pouch replaces the passport pouch on the discharge gate at the pump panel and accountability is now established and tracked closer to the building using their accountability pack
When can accountability be terminated at a fire incident?
Following a report of “Fire under control” and after a PAR is obtained
What are the six passport rules?
• passports will reflect only personnel in the hot zone
• passports will be delivered to the assigned accountability location before entering the hot zone
• passports will be maintained at the point of entry to the hot zone
• passports will never enter the hot zone
• passports will be retrieved upon exiting the hot zone
