Q

Vasopressin mechanism

A

V1R agonist -> Works on VSMC, by 2nd messenger with G-Proteins causing a cascade of reactions leading to the release of Ca2+ from sarcoplasmic reticulum. Increased Ca2+ -> sustained contractions by VSMC -> vasoconstriction
