Counter urbanisation is the migration of people from major urban areas into smaller urban settlements and rural areas. This may be a desire for a quiter and peacful life away from the crowded urban areas or for cheaper houses and bigger green spaces.
Counter Urbanisation leads to social change in rural areas. People who usually move into rural areas due to counter urbansation are middle aged coupoles with families seeking a quieter life and open spaces - cheap housing. Change demography to middle ages and younger ages if they have kids. CU may lead to tension between exisiting community and new comers as they possibly change the area to suit there needs. It also may put pressure on schools as more families move in familes may be put on waiting lists meaning there children might have delayed education.
CU leads to economic change in both rural and urban areas. As more ppl move in - emoplyment may inc meaning economic growth. Companies and buisnesses may move in due to high amount of workforce and cheaper land. Buisnesses may close down in Urban areas due to lack of customers and demand. This may inc unemployment and decrease local econmic growth
overall cu has a significant impact …
