What are the causes of eczema?

A

Atopic dermatitis has a multifactorial aetiology, with a combination of genetic susceptibility and
environmental factors. Defects in the skin’s barrier function and immune dysregulation following allergen exposure are thought to be key components in the
development of this disease.
