Vin Doux Naturels, or VDN, describes a category of French wines made sweet by the addition of spirit during fermentation.

There are a number of PDOs for these wines, spread throughout Roussillon, Languedoc and the southern Rhône, with around 80 per cent of production coming from Roussillon.
