16
Q

What is centrifuging?

A

Separating a mixture my rotating it quickly.

17
Q

What is distillation?

A

Is the process of which pure water is produced.

18
Q

What is Evaporation?

A

Is when water boils.

19
Q

What is a water condenser?

A

Cools down steam so it turns in to water.

20
Q

What does condenses mean?

A

change state from gas to liquid.

21
Q

What is distillate/distilled water?

A

Purified water.

22
Q

What is Crystallisation?

A

The left over salt when boiling salt water or other substances when evaporating.

23
Q

What is reverse osmosis?

A

The process in purifying large amounts of salt water.

24
Q

What is osmosis?

A

Water moves through a very thin membrane from an area of low salt concentration to an area of high salt concentration.

25
What does sustainable mean?
Something that will last and will not run out. Easy to supply.
26
What is paper chromatography?
method of separating a mixture of different colours. The liquid soaks through the paper and carries the mixture with it. Some substances are carried faster than others so the substances are separated along the paper.
27
What is a Solution?
A mixture of Solute dissolved in a Solvent.
