Q

What is the thing with skin and microbes?

A

As infections get depper through skin - more likley to see gram negative causing infections and more likely to see anerobic bac causing infections and the deeper the infections go, the more likely it is to be polymicrobial (mix of both gram + and gram -)

Skin infections arent just staph and strep but tje more serious infections are usuallly gram -ve but we focus on staphs and streps

ANd mixed infections - both +ve and -ve
