636 Loss of Heater O2 (66-EOP-5003)

Question 1

CCR/OPER - 1.1.1 - IF the outlet temperature on Charge heater (636F0001), or Fractionator Heater (636F0002), is not responding to changes to fuel gas usage or it is believed that incomplete combustion is occurring inside the heater,
MONITOR the appropriate heater for the following:

CCR - Very low or zero oxygen shown on a properly functioning stack analyzer, 66AI0003 or 66AI0008

CCR - Fuel gas to heater is increasing and the outlet temperature is decreasing (no change in feed to the heater)

OPER - Abnormal noise or rumbling

CCR - Heater coil outlet temperature are fluctuating with no changes to the other process variables

CCR - 1.1.12 - IF Emergency Alarm Activates or Oxygen concentration is less than 2% O2
PERFORM the following:

CCR - A - REDUCE Fuel Gas pressure to increase Oxygen concentration greater than 2% O2

CCR - B - TURN OFF the Fuel Gas DMC to prevent inappropriate heater adjustments

CCR - C - COMPARE board and outside indications on Damper and Main Stack Damper position from ground level
