what is the major difference of the visual system in cats and humans

cats have 2 main layers in the LGN

why is an albino cat (and humans) visual system different

almost all retinal fibers cross at the chiasm, there's no ipsi later in the LGN, contra layer folds onto itself to occupy the space where the ipsi layer should be
-LGN receiving all the fibers from the contra eye, it is reposnding to the netire vf w/o the possible of binocularity
