What is the role of the damper actuator in PAX doors?
1) It limits the door travel in normal ops
2) Drives automatic door opening in emergency
What can crew do in case the slide inflation bottle fails?
Crew members can manually open the discharge valve
What does the illumation of the 2 lights on the PAX doors indicate?
Red light flashes when there is cabin differential pressure
White light illuminates if slide is armed
What is another option incase the cockpit door fails to open in an emergency?
A cockpit door escape panel at the bottom can be pushed open towards cabin
When does the flight lock actuator in the overwing slides engage? Disengages
During takeoff roll and inflight.
They disengage during landing roll, RTO or loss of DC Bus 1
Wher are the cargo doors located?
FWD and AFT doors are on the starboard side
How are the cargo doors operated?
Via the yellow hydraulic system electrically or via a handpump
Where is the yellow hydraulic handpump located?
In the haydraulic maintenance panel
Can you open the cargo doors from the cockpit?
No, they only open from the outside
What is also activated when the cargo electric pump pressurizes the yellow system?
Brakes and ENG 2 reversers
How does the bulk cargo door open?
It is similar to pax door as it is a plug type and opens inwards unlike the other cargo doors. May be opened from outside or inside
How do the avionics doors open and where are they located?
1) Located around nose LDG bay
2) They are manually operated and open inwards
How is the slide raft disconnected from the aircraft?
1) Pull disconnection handle at entrace
2) Cut the mooring rope via provided knife
How is the escape panel on the cockpit door operated?
The quick release pins are pulled towards the center then the panel pushed out
