  • OPA/NPA- oral pharyngeal and nasal airway
  • I-gel- superglottic
  • Head tilt chin lift- ways of opening the airway
  • Jaw thrust- trauma c/spine

  • Dyspnoea- difficult breathing
  • Apnoeic- stop breathing
  • Hyperventilating- build up of co2 resp acidosis
  • Recession- drawn away of tissue
  • Tracheal tug- trachea pulling
  • Nasal flaring-
  • Tachypnoeic – fast breathing temp
  • COPD- chronic obstructive pulmonary disease
  • Wheeze- copd smoke inhalation exacerbation of copd
  • Agonal breathing- dead suffering
  • Hypoxic- lack of perfusion
  • Co2- carbon dioxide
  • Oxygen saturation- level O2
  • Cyanosis- blue
  • Respiratory rate- level of breathing
