ADAT/DART/ADR/RADR Flashcards
(20 cards)
What is the importance of base recovery?
First step towards restoring critical installation facilities
essential to ensure that critical operations continue unimpeded and bring the installation back to full operational capability in minimum time
ADAT
Airfield Damage Assessment Team
DART
Damage Assessment and Response Team
Who does ADAT report to and when are they released?
EOC: Initial Release at Alarm Black
Who does DART report to and when are they released?
UCC: Limited Release at Alarm Black
What is the ADAT composition?
1 - 3E571 Engineering Craftsman
2 - 3E8XX - EOD Technicians
What are the responsibilities of ADAT?
Locate, classify, and measure airfield damage & UXOs
What are the airfield assessment locations in priority order?
- Takeoff & Landing surfaces
- Access Pavements to takeoff & landing surfaces
- Aircraft parking areas
- PAPI Infrastructure
- Aircraft arresting
- Aircraft refueling
- Other
What are the phases that ADAT is released to perform recon?
Phase I - Initial Recon - prior to Initial release
Phase II - Detailed Damage Assessment - Initial Release
DART composition team?
3E371 - Structural Craftsmen
3E071 - Electrical System Craftsmen
3E471 - WFSM Craftsmen
What are the tasks of DART while doing active recon?
Phase I - Initial Release Prelim Assessment; NO DEPLOYMENT - ASSIGN TEAMS AND ROUTES
Phase II - Limited Release; Detailed Assessment; potentially dangerous & time consuming - known hazards and comms checks; physically inspect and record damage
What is the UCC, EOC, DART chain of command?
CE UCC reports to EOC, EOC interfaces with CAT, DART follows CE UCC guidance
ADR
overarching umbrella that encompasses everything CE does to recover the airfield
RADR
All actions to rapidly repair airfield operating surfaces and infrastructure to establish, sustain, or recover airfield operations
E-ADR
Crushed Stone repair
What are the processes included in RADR?
Enemy attack, Rapid Damage Assessment, Rapid Explosive Hazard Mitigation, Rapid Damage Repair, Mission Generation
Semi - permanent Repair?
Rapid set concrete over flowable fill: 3,000 passes of any mission aircraft
Asphalt over flowable fill: 3,000 passes of any mission aircraft
Temporary Repairs?
AM-2: 1,500 passes of any mission aircraft
Fiber Reinforced Polymer Panels: 100 passes
Flowable Fill Only: 500 passes
Expedient Spall Repair: 500 passes
What are the challenges associated with ADR modernization?
Limited inclement weather & spall capabilities
Requires preparation time on ground prior to attack
Requires augmentation of FRP
